Welcome to my website!

I am a senior researcher at GESIS Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences in Cologne. I am scientific coordinator of the GESIS Summer School in Survey Methodology and the GESIS Spring Seminar.

I hold a PhD from the University of Bamberg. My dissertation on “Discrimination in Education” has been published in the GESIS Scientific Series and is available open access via SSOAR.

Previously, I worked as a research associate at the LIfBiLeibniz-Institute for Educational Trajectories, at the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS), and in my own BMBF-funded project on “Discrimination in Education: Micro Mechanisms and Macro Determinants”.

From 2003 to 2009 I studied Social Sciences (Sociology, Social Psychology, Quantitative Methods/Statistics, Educational Psychology) at the University of Mannheim and Indiana University Bloomington.
